I was asked by Sean Carney to participate in a recent show out at the Milepost5 property on 82nd Ave.  The show was called The Manor of Art.  I decided to try my hands at stand-up comedy, something which has always interested me, but an endeavor that up until now I had never pursued.  Sean got a little upset by my joke about him, but who the hell cares?

BLACK CRIMSON

During the heinous winter storm throwdown of December 08, I ventured over mountains of snow and ice to Portland State’s campus.  Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Cyrus Smith, a master of radio arts who had asked me to come on his show.  The topic at hand was the Punk Rock Paradox (that being the inability to rectify financial success with one’s political leanings in that musical genre).  We spoke for an hour about the band BLACK CRIMSON from Umea, Sweden and listened to some of their catalogue that spans over 15 years.

This was done while I was still employed by WACP (before those fuckers canned me just because I showed up drunk and cursed on the air).  So I suppose I was in better spirits at the time.  Much thanks to Cyrus for this opportunity, and my apologies for my delay in posting it.  Thanks!
